Steamforged Games has unleashed the highly anticipated tabletop version of "Sea of Thieves: Voyage of Legends," immersing board game enthusiasts in a thrilling world of piracy upon the high seas.
With a recommended retail price of £59.99 (or just £50.99 from Firestorm Games), this exciting game is available to purchase now. Designed for two to four players, the tabletop adventure guarantees an action-packed journey filled with danger and excitement, as participants strive to build a fearsome reputation and vie for the prestigious Pirate Legend title.
"Sea of Thieves: Voyage of Legends" faithfully adapts the beloved shared-world adventure game originally developed by Rare and published by Xbox Game Studios. Players will have the chance to upgrade their ships, from a humble Sloop to a formidable Galleon, recruit crew members, and engage in trading activities at the main Outpost. Just like the video game, they will embark on treasure hunts, compete for the esteemed title of Pirate Lord, and encounter familiar features such as skeleton-garrisoned abandoned forts and the ominous threats of the Kraken and Megalodon at sea.
The game box holds a treasure trove of components, including seven game board tiles, 24 standees, ten dice, four rules reference cards, 18 special crew cards, 20 event cards, 52 fortune cards, 52 voyage cards, 12 ship cards, eight enemy cards, and over 300 tokens.
Steamforged Games' ambition was to craft a tabletop experience that faithfully captures the atmosphere of the video game while reimagining its essence. The board game acts as a hub where players can monitor their progress and keep various cards necessary to achieve the coveted status of pirate legend. On average, a game session takes between 90 to 120 minutes to complete.
