The Doomed from Osprey Games: Meet the Factions
Hey, guess what's coming real soon? The Doomed game from Osprey Games, available to pre-order now! On August 3rd, you'll be able to jump into a world of monster hunting and apocalypse, and let me tell you, it's gonna be epic!
Chris McDowall spilled the beans on the Osprey Games Blog about The Doomed, giving us the lowdown on the background and what kind of tabletop goodness we can expect. They're all about keeping the mechanics simple yet giving us a dramatic and narrative-packed game, perfect for some monster-hunting mayhem!
And oh boy, the factions! They've got some seriously cool art from Helge C. Balzer to set the mood. First up, we've got The Inheritor Courts, also known as "The Cursed." Picture helmets, autumn vibes, nobility, and heraldry. If you've got Warhammer 40K minis lying around, you're off to a great start! Mix and match with North Star plastic kits, and you'll have a killer warband.
Next, let's talk about the Martyr Retinues. These bad boys are all about winter, bionics, death, and chivalry. Heavy armor, bizarre bionic elements, and BIG guns? Sign me up! I can already see hobbyists reaching for their guitar strings to customize these miniatures.
But wait, it gets weirder with the Reborn Covens. Think spring, mutations, growth, and revolution. If you're into collecting twisted and mutated creations, this warband is calling your name. Tentacles, slavering tongues, and some serious rust action - it's gonna be wild!
And last but not least, we've got the Exile Bands. Blood, summer, and chitin - that's their jam. Organic materials, claws, multiple eyes, and armor plates galore! With so many awesome miniatures out there (especially in the 3D printing world), you'll have a blast putting together this warband.
